Marion County Courthouse in Jefferson, TX. was designed in 1912 by architect Elmer G. Withers. In 2019 the Texas Historical Commission awarded a $ 4.7 million grant for renovations. van Enter Studio, Ltd was contracted by JRJ Construction for restoration and conservation of all metal furniture & five vault doors, including shutters & associated hardware.

Lavaca County Courthouse Vault Doors.
While remarkably well preserved under 113 years of grime and abuse the large vault at Lavaca County Court House needed an amazing amount of work.
113 Years of grime had to be removed just to get to the layers of stained shellac.
